It begins with the story that’s been told many times over: Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future visit a singer who has lost the spirit of Christmas. Soon, the movie proves it is not just a repeat of the same old story. The main character is one of the Ghosts – Present. The trio are just one of many trios sent down to earth to perform a “Scrooging” on December 23rd (to give people time to buy a Christmas turkey 😆). With this unique twist, the movie feels very fresh. There’s plenty of humor from Chinn and VelJohnson as her coworker Ghosts and a magical romance with Peter, who is no Ebenezer Scrooge, although his father is a piece of work. As Katherine helps Peter resolve his family issues, they get to know each other and start to fall for each other, but how can a Ghost have a happily ever after?
