New Yorkers Emma and Conrad agree to help each other find their missed connections after a subway blackout. Their search might lead to love, but not where either of them expects to find it. Starring Kim Matula and Aaron O’Connell.

An instant spark versus a connection formed over time – that’s the premise that this movie takes on. Hallmark has long been a purveyor of the meet cute and this movie does something completely unique: it begins with two separate meet cutes for our leads – and neither of them are with each other. When I say that I loved this movie, I might be underselling it. The relationship that forms between Emma and Conrad over the course of the movie is delightful and has substance, it’s based on appreciation for each other’s worlds and values, and a similar sense of humor. I loved the leads together and I also loved them with their other “matches”. I hope Hallmark continues to set movies in the big city and continues to cast Kim Matula in everything.

Favorite Quote: You know what they say, ‘all human wisdom is contained in these two little words: wait and hope.’
Favorite Kiss: Wow this movie has the best double declaration of love on the way to the airport, followed by the best kiss ever. When he says emphatically, I was 100% sold.
